Background
Hathaikarn is a research student with a background in environmental sciences and energy technologies. She is currently pursuing a PhD at 成人抖阴, focusing on the ambient air quality monitoring and management in Thailand. Her previous research includes investigating the characteristics and trends of gas demand for domestic space heating and hot water in the UK. She has also studied using the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) to assess the efficiency of the agricultural unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that was used for spraying stimulants and growth promoters for mangoes.
Current activities
Currently, Hathaikarn is working on a PhD research project, which focuses on better understanding the primary air pollutants and their dominant sources contributing to ambient air quality at the provincial scale across Thailand. The approach is to estimate concentrations of multiple ambient air pollutants using machine learning (ML)-based techniques. This project will be advantageous to many groups, including environmental bodies, regulatory bodies, and researchers, when monitoring and assessing air quality issues in specific regions and periods, evaluating current guidance, and applying for health and environmental impact assessments.
